How I Buy Yarn
Hi there Fellow creative crocheters!
Here's something that always shocks the yarn-shop owners when I come in to buy yarn:
I only ever buy ONE BALL of any kind. 🧶
Normally when you go yarn shopping for a project, you'll have to buy lots of the same kind so that you have enough for your project, but honestly, what's the fun in that? There are SO many beautiful yarns to choose from, and it's incredibly exciting to come home with a whole selection of beautiful yarns.
Here's why I do this:
I think of crochet like of painting - the more shades and textures you have to mix and match, the more exciting the process. 🥰 If I was painting a blue picture, I wouldn't go and buy 4 tubes of the same blue paint, I'd buy 4 different shades of blues so that I could create depth and textures.
So my tip for next time you go yarn shopping - choose all the colours and textures you love, but get just one of each! And when you start a new project - mix them up! Get creative and have the best time!

In the past I used to go to shops to buy one or two balls, walking out with a bag full of what caught my attention.
Lately you first go throu all your boxes of yarn, then consider the price of fuel,
secondly the price of the one ball.
Lastly decide if it is must-have or nice-to-have.
Then back to the boxes.
