Yes! If you’re brand new to crochet, I’d recommend starting with my free Learn to Crochet course. It’s perfect for teaching you the basics and building your confidence with foundational stitches. From there, I’d suggest easing into this journey with a beginner-friendly project like the FreeSpirit Workshop or The Cozy. These will help you really get comfortable with the stitches and the flow of crochet. Once you’ve gained that confidence, you can move on to more creative and freestyle designs like Rebel Rebel, Dreamcatcher, or Flower Power—whichever one sparks your interest the most! This way, you’ll feel supported every step of the way while exploring your creativity. 💛
What if I’ve never tried a creative freestyle project before?

I have been following Aluma for sometime on IG. Each step of this amazing project is presented with clarity and thoughtful instructions. I have enjoyed playing with color and pushing myself to play. Each video has reminders of processes as well. I look forward to my next project to play with more color and I found some faux fur yarn! I’m so excited.

I stumbled on Aluma by chance,and immediately loved what I saw.
Im a knitter,but always thought about crochet but didn't really like flowers squares etc.
Just me.
I started with the beginners scaf ,then went to our local craft shop and bought alot of wool, having given away all my other wool (it happens:)
Did the neck piece ,amazing, instructions, were great and there was a thing for lefties..wow, so now im 3 courses down and hooked!!!(sorry for pun)
The masterclass was relaxed and fun..i couldent keep up but really enjiod it

Another delightful experience curated by Aluma! This has been my favourite course of her's yet, because they just get better and better. With Aluma's encouragement I used a colour palette that was new for me and the resulting Wild Thing scarf that I produced is something I can't wait to wear. I highly recommend this course as a way of exploring your creativity with multiple yarns. You'll produce a piece of wearable art that you'll be proud to wear.
